Shannon MacLeod has always gone for the wrong type of man. After she drifted from one toxic relationship to the next, her last boyfriend gave her a wakeup call in the worst possible way. With her world shattered, sheā€™s sworn off menā€”especially those of the bad-boy variety.

Cole Walker is exactly the sort that Shannon wants to avoidā€”gorgeous, tattooed, charming, and cocky. But his rough exterior hides a good man whoā€™s ready to find ā€œthe one.ā€ Heā€™s determined to pull Shannon from her self-imposed solitude and win her heart.

As Shannon opens up in the face of Coleā€™s steady devotion, the passion between them ignites to blazing levels. But when Shannonā€™s past comes back to haunt her, her fears may destroy the trust Cole has built between themā€”and tear them apart for goodā€¦

 ~ Book ~

I enjoyed Cole Walker as well as his co-workers and friends too. Shannon, however, was a harder sell for me. She's different than the other female MCs in this series, and while I understood her reasons for behaving the way she did, I didn't like them. Rae, in all her unapologetic, potty mouthed glory was my favorite character! I laughed out loud on more than one occasion while reading/listening to her parts. Fans of this series will enjoy seeing Cole all grown up and the cameos from previous couples was fun. I also enjoyed how everything came full circle at the end.

While this can be read as a stand alone, it's probably wise to read the books in order, lest you risk spoiling the other story lines.

Echoes of Scotland Street makes a great addition to the On Dublin Street Series!

Favorite Quote:
ā€œAs the old car took me away from Scotland Street amid his incessant chatter, I felt like fate had just handed me two cups and Iā€™d stupidly drunk from the wrong one.ā€

Elle Newlands does a fantastic job of bringing these characters and their accents to life!

"Clockwork Prince" (The Infernal Devices Book 2) ~ Cassandra Clare

Let's take a moment to drool over, I mean, appreciate the pretty cover, shall we? *sighs* Once again, Cassandra Clare has managed to suck me into her colorful story of adventure, intrigue, love, romance and excruciating heartbreak.  *clutches chest*  Normally, I blast through books in a few hours, but I purposely took my time with this one because I wanted to savor every minute with Will, Jem and Tessa but HOLY CUPCAKE!!  Could you find another way to rip my heart out, do a "stomp the yard" dance on it and throw it back at me with demon pox all over it?!  *clutches chest*  How anyone with a heart can NOT be "Team Will" after this book, I'll never understand but if they aren't, then I say, in the words of giddy Will, "A demonpox on all your houses!" OK, so that's a tad harsh but still. "Clockwork Prince" picks up right where "Clockwork Angel" leaves off, with Tessa still trying to discover who she is and what Mortma...
