Bad Kitty: Puppy's Big Day by Nick Bruel

Series: Bad Kitty  Publication: January 6, 2015 By: Roaring Book Press Amazon | B&N | Goodreads  5 Stars! "This eight book in the popular Bad Kitty series features a day in the life of Kitty's ever-slobbering foe, Puppy"-- *I received this ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review* ~ Review provided by the 10 year old ~ First Impression: Funny. Good. Hilarious. What I Liked: I wanted to read this because I like cats. Once I started, I did want to stop until I was done. Bad Kitty is rude which I think is kind of funny. I also liked that it reads like a comic book. It was funny w hen Uncle Murray got yelled at by the police officer for not carrying a poop bag when he took Puppy for a walk. I liked this book so much I started writing my own story about "Crazy Cat Mittens".  Final Verdict: I can't wait for the next one!

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay

Author: Katja Millay Publication: June 4, 2013 By: Atria  4.5 Stars! I live in a world without magic or miracles. A place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so hard against the earth by the weight of reality that some days I wonder how I am still able to lift my feet to walk. Former piano prodigy Nastya Kashnikov wants two things: to get through high school without anyone learning about her past and to make the boy who took everything from her—her identity, her spirit, her will to live—pay. All Josh Bennett wants is to be left alone, and everyone allows it because they all know his story: each person he loved was taken from his life until at seventeen years old there was no one left. When your name is synonymous with death, people tend to give you your space. Everyone except Nastya, a new girl in town who won’t go away until she’s...
