BLOG TOUR: Opposition (Lux #5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

QUESTION: What do you like most about the Lux series?
Aside from the action, suspense, romance and humor? Daemon Black because he's a lot like scoring the corner piece of birthday cake AND getting to lick the plate it was served on.

Opposition, the fifth and final book in Jennifer L. Armentrout’s bestselling Lux series. Also included only in the print edition is Shadows, the prequel novella never before seen in print! "A thrilling ride from start to finish," says RT Book Reviews.

Opposition
Publication: August 5, 2014
Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came. She can’t believe Daemon stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx)
Publication: June 3, 2014
 Obsidian
There's an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he's hot...until he opens his mouth. He's infuriating. Arrogant. Stabworthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bullseye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Onyx
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

Lux: Beginnings is available everywhere books are sold, including your local Target, B&N, and Walmart.

Lux: Consequences (Opal & Origin)
Publication: June 3, 2014

Opal
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing alien hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Origin
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

Shadows
The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. To him, human girls are…well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane. Dangerous.
Bethany can’t deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren’t a complication she wants, whenever they lock eyes, she’s drawn in. Captivated.
Dawson can’t stop risking everything for one human girl. Or stop a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself.

I think I love Daemon as a part of the Lux series rather than the alien aspect. 2nd thing I love would be Katy and Daemon’s hilarious banter, and their sweet relationship. Then, comes the awesome alien aspect, like origins like Archer and Luc, and Arums like Hunter. The Lux series is an incredible story world where Daemon not only turned out to be the perfect, ever-confident alien but an amazing boyfriend. Guys like him are hard to find, even in a book, and I am seriously impressed by how much Daemon captures my attention. His first impression…not so good. But as the story progressed, I loved seeing Katy understand and fall for Daemon Black, the guy who pushed feelings away until he met his kitten. And just as a side note, he brings Katy cookies! Do I need to say any more about why he makes the perfect beau? And well, I like the whole of the Lux series because it has come together beautifully but I also love how Katy adapts every time her life changes drastically. She accepted Daemon’s true nature, being a hybrid, losing friends…all with time and grace (sort of). So I love love love the humorous act between Daemon and Katy, and that among everything else has kept me returning to the series

  5. I love the lux series because readers are able to get to know the main characters. They become more real in a way because we know the little things about them. Like Daemon used to have Mohawk that was purple and black or that Katy wanted a Mogwai. It's a fun read and I love this series. <3

  6. I was hesitated on reading the Lux until my friend who I got the first book for her told me that it remind her a lot about me, hence the name and the fact I blog. So I ended up getting the first three like 5 dollars a piece through a B&N deal and she was right I fell in love with it. I love the whole alien concept, but more on the fact that Daemon can shine brighter than the sun and Katy was determine to not fall in love with him. But after how the ending of Obsidian I knew right there that it got me hooked.

  7. I have to say I LOVE everything about the Lux Series. Its one of my top favorite books. I love of course the love that Daemon has for Kat and how they got there connection when he healed her. I love all the action in it that makes my heart race. I love that it has aliens and that they have powers. And also how the author drew out the love story between the main characters. Even though I wanted them together faster I think that's is what kept my interest in it even more. I love the whole story line. I am DYING to read Opposition and I cannot wait for it to come out!! And it's being released on my birthday!! YAY!!

  8. I love everything about the Lux series, every single chapter!! Jennifer is an amazing writer, I didn't think I would find a series better then the Covenant series, but the Lux series surpasses it!! I love the suspense, the surprises that come when you least expect them. And I love all of the sarcasm and humor that fill every Lux book!! Reading Obsidian I instantly fell in love with the characters and Daemon :) Watching Daemon's relationship with Kat evolve through the books was a roller coaster ride, full of ups and downs. And I loved every minute of it!! I love that the Luxen look just like humans, and the whole healing and mutating humans thing was genius! I sincerely love the Lux series, and I'm so excited to know the ending!! :)
