Welcome to Jenuine Cupcakes!
*hands you a cupcake*

I'm really excited to be participating in this years Book Blogger Love-A-Thon hosted by Alexa from Alexa Loves Books and Katelyn from Tales of Books and Bands.

I was paired up with fellow blogger Diana from Little Miss Drama Queen

We had the chance to ask each other some fun questions. Here's what Diana had to say...

1) What is your favorite book?
Well right now I'm obsessed with The Goddess Inheritance by Aimee Carter, but chances are as time goes by and that infatuation subsides, it'll still be a favorite. But my all time favorites are The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Cleopatra's Daughter be Michelle Moran.

2) What has been the best experience you've had as a book blogger so far?
Other than getting to discover a lot more amazing books. I'd say my best experience would be last year when Mandy at The Romance Bookie asked if I'd cohost a Meg Cabot blog hop (the Meg-a-Readers), which she tweeted about, and Meg herself ended up not only helping to spread the word about it but sponsoring the giveaways we had throughout the two month event. It was so cool being mentioned on her blog and looking at the Referring URLs section on my blog and seeing megcabot.com. I think I have a screenshot of it.

3)If you could live inside a book, what book would you choose and why? (Maybe you like the setting, clothing, technology, etc.)
First book that came to mind was the Toadhouse trilogy which I recently reviewed. It's actually about a girl that not only grew up living in one book (though she didn't know it then) and gets to travel around other books. Would that be cheating? Wanting to live in a book that lets me travel around others? The first book I'd visit though would be Libba Bray's The Diviners. I love anything pre-1950's I'm always saying that I was born in the wrong era.

4) If you were stuck on a deserted island and had to eat the same thing everyday, for all three meals, what would it be?
Hmm. Well I already eat a lot of pasta as it is.

5) One thing you want to do before you die?
Live. I say that being both cliché and somewhat sincere since I am the "do it now or forever wish you had" type. I had a list of things of so many random things I wanted to do before I die, that I doubt I could narrow it down to one. I used to post about them on my blog (called my "To Do List") but it's been too long since I last did.

6)Least favorite movie?
Probably harder than picking a favorite. Looking over at our DVDs I'd say Ghost Ship, I'm not one to have a problem with "language" in a movie but it kind of annoys me when it's so frequently used that before it's aired on TV a good 60 to 70 percent would need editing because of it.

7) If you could have dinner with any author or fictional character, who would it be and why?
Prince Maxon from The Selection, if I'm gonna dine it might as well be with a prince.

8)Favorite color?
Can I get poetic and say it's the shade of blue at sunset? I'm actually not trying to be poetic I really have no clue what that color is. It's a lavender blue mix.

9) What song do you have on repeat right now?
I almost always dread questions about my music likes because whenever I answer I always receive a "really?" It's like anything short of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift wasn't expected, I can never tell what people want of me when it comes to that question.
Anyway since I recently got a new computer I had to move my music around so I still haven't added about half of what I had before. Plus I've been listening to a lot of Pandora, which is another thing that would scare people were they to see it since besides the one contemporary and country stations (which I rarely touch); it mainly consist of world, classical crossover, rockabilly, big band and just recently one from the 1920's. (See last part of question 3).
But to attempt to answer the actual question, the song on repeat right now is probably Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart.

10) Besides reading, what else do you like to do?
Besides reading? You mean there's more?
I'm into crafts, I love creating new things. Mainly jewelry, hopefully by either the end of the summer or year (whichever comes first) I'll have something set up to sell some of the stuff I make.

You can find out what I had to say over at Diana's blog, Little Miss Drama Queen

  3. I don't even know where to begin! So many good questions and answers! I love question #3 and I think your entire answer is fabulous because why not live in a book that lets you visit other books and I love the Diviners!!!!! I love Prince Maxon, I am now so excited to start The Goddess Test series. This interview just made me all around happy :)

  4. Mmmm, pasta. I feel a little like somewhere along the way I morphed into my little brother because I could basically live off mashed potatoes and spaghetti (not together).

I really need to get back into crafting. I got crafting fever last October but then the holidays happened and I just haven't done it since. I really enjoyed it, though, so I'll need to just dive back in.
