Starting over is never easy, but in Thunder Point, where newcomers are welcome and friends become family, it's possible to find yourself again. In this brand-new story, #1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr takes us on a moving and rewarding journey as a young woman finds new hope.

After losing her child, Ginger Dysart was lost in grief. But since moving to Thunder Point, a small town on the Oregon coast, and with the help of her cousin Ray Anne, Ginger is finally moving forward. Her job at the flower shop is peaceful and fulfilling, and she's excited to start her first big assignment, assisting with the Lacoumette wedding.

In spite of her lasting heartache, Ginger finds herself swept up in the pleasure of the occasion. But the beauty of the Lacoumette farm and the joy of the gregarious family are ruined by an unfortunate encounter with the bride's brother, Matt. Struggling with painful memories of his own recent divorce, Matt makes a drunken spectacle of himself and Ginger when he tries to make a pass at her, forcing Ginger to flee the scene in embarrassment.

But when Matt shows up at the flower shop determined to make amends, what started out as a humiliating first meeting blossoms into something much deeper than either of them expected. Discovering they have a lot in common, they form a solid friendship, though everyone around them worries that Ginger will end up with a broken heart yet again. But if Ginger has the courage to embrace the future, and if Matt can finally learn to let go of the past, there may still be hope for a happy ending.

 ~ About The Author ~

ā€œIā€™m frequently asked what it is about my stories that make them so popular. I think itā€™s the sense of community and that combination of romance and womenā€™s fiction,ā€ says author Robyn Carr. ā€œIā€™m naturally drawn to strong, capable female characters, and when I begin a story I ask myself, ā€˜What is she up against?ā€™ Itā€™s very empowering to read about women like ourselves as the characters resolve the issues that threaten their happiness and peace of mind. Itā€™s also empowering to watch smart women choosing and falling in love with men of honor and integrity.ā€The author of more than 40 novels,

Robyn reaches a wide audience with her writing. In addition to her touching novels, sheā€™s written historical romance, series romance and a gripping thriller. ā€œThis is the best job Iā€™m ever going to get wearing pajamas,ā€ she says of her writing career.

Originally from Minnesota, Robyn and her family have seen much of the country thanks to her husband, Jim, and his career in aviation. After the two high school sweethearts married, Jim joined the air force. Theyā€™ve lived in Texasā€”all four cornersā€”Alabama, Florida, California. The couple moved to Henderson, Nevada, so Jim could explore a new business opportunity. ā€œAt first, being a Midwest girl at heart, I said, ā€˜Oh, no, not another desert!ā€™ It didnā€™t take me long to fall in love with the beauty of Nevadaā€”and the unrivaled spectacle of Las Vegas!ā€

Robyn well remembers how she began her career as an author over 25 years ago. ā€œI was trained as a nurse, but found it impossible to get work because my husband was constantly being transferred. At the time, I was reading a lot of genre fiction for the sheer entertainment value and I thought to myself, ā€˜I can write this!ā€™ā€

And how was her first foray into the world of literature received? ā€œIt was universally panned. I thought I had written Gone with the Wind, but in actuality it was complete trash.ā€ In fact, it was on her third try that Robyn finally succeeded in becoming a published author.

Now that Robynā€™s two children are grownā€”and finally out of the houseā€”she has the luxury of a little free time. ā€œUntil my kids grew up, I didnā€™t realize that a person could have hobbies other than laundry,ā€ she jokes. But it turns out not to be hobbies that keep Robyn busy when she isnā€™t writingā€”she has found her niche in community service.

She has mentored a seniorsā€™ memoir-writing group, attends book-club chats in and out of state whenever possible and is working with her local library on the Carr Chat Series, a program centered on fund-raising and visiting-author events that bring writers, their books and the community together. ā€œIt is the people in my life that fill the well,ā€ she says. ā€œEspecially the people who share my love for books and writing.ā€

"Clockwork Prince" (The Infernal Devices Book 2) ~ Cassandra Clare

Let's take a moment to drool over, I mean, appreciate the pretty cover, shall we? *sighs* Once again, Cassandra Clare has managed to suck me into her colorful story of adventure, intrigue, love, romance and excruciating heartbreak.  *clutches chest*  Normally, I blast through books in a few hours, but I purposely took my time with this one because I wanted to savor every minute with Will, Jem and Tessa but HOLY CUPCAKE!!  Could you find another way to rip my heart out, do a "stomp the yard" dance on it and throw it back at me with demon pox all over it?!  *clutches chest*  How anyone with a heart can NOT be "Team Will" after this book, I'll never understand but if they aren't, then I say, in the words of giddy Will, "A demonpox on all your houses!" OK, so that's a tad harsh but still. "Clockwork Prince" picks up right where "Clockwork Angel" leaves off, with Tessa still trying to discover who she is and what Mortma...
