5 Stars!

True Earth has returned during a massive snowstorm in Manhattan-and this time they have an army. Rhys, Noble, Sophia, and Peter know they don't stand a chance against the enemy without Miranda. And once they revive her, she's horrified to find her world in flames.

The enemy occupation is brutal, but the director promises to release her hold on the city if Mr. East is turned in, and Miranda and her team are determined to find him. With her grief over the losses she has suffered fueling her spirit, Miranda knows that this time the sacrifices have to be worth it.

Packed with suspense and deception, Dan Krokos brings Miranda's journey to a mind-bending conclusion as she risks losing everything in the fight for her future.

When my copy of False Future, the final book in the False Memory trilogy, showed up a day early I was SO EXCITED. I'm not a big fan of Sci-Fi but this series is my favorite and I could not wait to see how it all ended!

It's hard to talk about what I loved without spoiling anything, so here are my highlights:

~ The characters haven't lost any of their badassery, and they stay consistent with who they are right up until the last page.

~ I thought the Eyeless were bad, but those were fluffy bunnies compared to the creatures that show up in False Future.

~ True to form, Dan Krokos isn't afraid to kill his characters nor does he allow them to gentle into that dark Black. (Because that would be boring.) Instead, he has them go out fighting. It's brutal, bloody and heart-wrenching, but it makes sense. Even if I don't like it.

~ I will never look at a bathroom stall the same way again.

~ Just when I thought I had it all figured out and everything was settling down, I took a deep breath and... OH CRAP WHAT?!*
(*I had a theory about this part and I was really glad I was wrong.)

~ The whole story is brought full circle and I finished with my heart still intact and a big stupid smile on my face!

Thank you, Dan Krokos for this trilogy. It was a Sci-Fi adrenaline rush and I enjoyed every minute of it! I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

And now, in keeping with tradition...

Roses are red,
Peter's eyes are purple-blue,
You better read False Future,
Or no cupcakes for you!

Just kidding!
Maybe.

Seriously though, you should read this series.
It's Sci-Fi at it's best!
