Excerpt:
Group memos like this one find their way into my inbox almost every day and are
typically filled with nothing more than boring office news. An announcement about Sally-so-and-soā€™s upcoming retirement, or a notice about Joe-shmoeā€™s birthday next week. Nothing unusual or earth shattering. This particular memo started out that way, nothing worth panicking over. That is, until I arrived at the second paragraph and came to the two little words that currently have me in a choke hold.
Two. Little. Words.
Nicholas Kerkley.
Okay ā€” dream or hallucination? If Iā€™m expected to live until the end of this e-mail, it has to be one of the two. A dream is easy enough to check, right? If this is a dream then something nonsensical or fantastic will be going on, like one of my co-workers will be Paula Deen from Food Network which, in my dream universe, will somehow make perfect sense. Or, Iā€™ll open the door to our office and it will lead into my grandmaā€™s kitchen. Then thereā€™s the ever popular ā€” if not a bit clichĆ© ā€” one where Iā€™ll be naked.
I look around the office: no Paula Deen. The office door is open: no grandmotherā€™s
kitchen. Last but not least, I glance down at myself, hoping ā€” yes, hoping ā€” to find that Iā€™m only wearing underwear, but find myself fully clothed.

"Clockwork Prince" (The Infernal Devices Book 2) ~ Cassandra Clare

Let's take a moment to drool over, I mean, appreciate the pretty cover, shall we? *sighs* Once again, Cassandra Clare has managed to suck me into her colorful story of adventure, intrigue, love, romance and excruciating heartbreak.  *clutches chest*  Normally, I blast through books in a few hours, but I purposely took my time with this one because I wanted to savor every minute with Will, Jem and Tessa but HOLY CUPCAKE!!  Could you find another way to rip my heart out, do a "stomp the yard" dance on it and throw it back at me with demon pox all over it?!  *clutches chest*  How anyone with a heart can NOT be "Team Will" after this book, I'll never understand but if they aren't, then I say, in the words of giddy Will, "A demonpox on all your houses!" OK, so that's a tad harsh but still. "Clockwork Prince" picks up right where "Clockwork Angel" leaves off, with Tessa still trying to discover who she is and what Mortma...
