I LUV'D being in Kai's head and getting the chance to see the whole series from his point of view, LUVED IT!
The odds are stacked against him from the start. Sure, he makes his fair share of mistakes. Who doesn't? But after meeting Anna, Kai sees that good really does exist, it can triumph over evil and hope is not lost. The most important lesson he learns though is, love really can transform you.
If you let it.
That epilogue though...I cried when I read it from Anna's POV in Sweet Reckoning, but seeing it from Kai's destroyed my feels in the best way possible.
"Lust is the groveling cousin of love. It's the house made of straw and sticks. It cannot compare."
