We're celebrating all things "Jennifer L. Armentrout" with this blog tour and we have the fabulous Kaleigh (K-Books) to thank for that!

A celebration isn't much fun with out food, music, games and prizes, right?  (The correct answer is, RIGHT!) So, considering yesterday was my birthday, we're gonna have a party! *throws confetti*

Allow me to take a moment to fangirl because without Jennifer, there would be no books with girls we all wanna be and boys we crush over! Am I right? (Again, the correct answer is "Right!")

Her name is Jennifer. Um, hellew? Best.Name.EV-AH! (I may be a little biased. Maybe.)

Her middle initial is "L"?! *gasps* does that stand for "Lynn"?! OHMYGOSH MY MIDDLE NAME IS LYNN!  (Again, biased.)

She's really nice, easy to talk to and funny. I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer at this year's Baltimore Book Festival and enjoyed discussing books, (hers as well as others) and what we would NOT do if we ever found ourselves in a scary movie scenario. RUN! You always RUN!

She writes wicked cool stories . Some are about half-bloods, pures and demi-gods  (think mythology) who battle daimons (demons) and others are about aliens of light who battle aliens of darkness.  *do not even roll your eyes before you've read the books*

Speaking of her books, unless you've been living under a piece of obsidian, I'm sure you've heard of at least one of her books. These are my two favorites...

The Covenant Series

When I read the first three books, Daimon, Half-Blood and Pure, I did so over a 30 hour period and HOLY HALF-BLOOD were they good!  I was completely sucked in like a baby daimon sucks the aether out of a pure.  These books have it all, love, romance, battles, heartbreak and kissing, lots of kissing. LOTS!

Pure
left me breathless, a little heartbroken but anxiously awaiting the next book.

Deity was so hot the book literally fell apart in my hands as I was reading. O_O (See picture below if you don't believe me.)

Deity

As a Team Aiden girl, I can only imagine what Elixir has in store. O_O

Alex is a total badars girl who doesn't take junk from anyone yet still has a girlie girl side to her.  She's incredibly brave, witty and sarcastic, with a great sense of humor and while she knows she's not riding the ugly train, she has no idea just how beautiful she really is.

Aiden is tall, dark and all kind of hotsauce with a tortured past, allowing him to understand Alex in a way that few others can. He's committed to protecting Alex at all costs, regardless of feeling all the feels for her.

Seth
is the visual opposite of Aiden with his blond hair and strange markings that show up whenever he and Alex touch. He's full of mystery, electricity, snark and hormones but Alex doesn't know what everyone else sees in him because he just annoys the crap out of her.

Aiden and Seth are constantly having "words" and while I don't see a bromance in their future, I do find their witty banter highly entertaining. Together with Alex, they create quite the love conundrum.

(If Alex had a Facebook profile, her relationship status would read:
"It's Complicated")

Both Aiden and Seth have their pros and cons but if I had to choose, I'd have to go with Aiden, hands down. (Especially after having read, Deity. *fansfacefansface*)

The Lux Series

When I first saw that this series was about aliens I laughed. (I know, I know, FOR SHAME JEN!) In my defense, I was imagining those lizard looking things that Sigourney Weaver fights in the "Alien" movies.

Shadows is like eating chocolate...as it melts from a fountain. No spoon required. :)

Obsidian
Daemon Black. That is all. OK, not really but, still. (More like, hide your kids, hide your wives...and your laptops.

This is one of those books that once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down! There's a battle between good versus evil and an even bigger battle between Katy and Daemon that left me both stressed out and *fanning my face*.

Onyx picks up where Obsidian left off and the tension between Katy and Daemon is just as hot and feisty as ever. *fans face* He's dead set on proving to her that his feelings are legit while she's convinced he's only doing it as a result of their weird connection. (If Katy isn't into Daemon's affections, I'll make like Katniss, and step up, "I VOLUNTEER! I VOLUNTEER!!"One of my FAVORITE scenes is when Daemon "helps" Katy with her blog.  And the scene at the Thai restaurant was a true "Daemon Invasion". *giggles*

Opal can't get here fast enough!

One person I REALLY enjoy but tends to get overlooked is Dee Black. Don't get me wrong, Daemon and Katy are awesome but Dee is the BFF I would want to have!  She's not only beautiful and funny but she's loyal too. She doesn't take any of Daemon's shittake mushrooms and girlfriend could eat an NFL line backer under the table with that appetite of hers! She is amazeballs and I love her!

I've come to the conclusion that Jennifer L. Armentrout is made of awesomesauce and her books are like dessert for me - just the right about of decadence and deliciousness and if given the choice, I will read them first. ;) *licks fingers*

You can find out more about Jennifer L. Armentrout and all of her books on her website.
