Here Without You (Between the Lines #4) by Tammara Webber

Here Without You (Between the Lines, #4)Author: Tammara Webber
Publication: August 6, 2013
Genre: YA/NA

<-- I love this cover!

Everyone has secrets.
Some are buried so deep, their existence is forgotten.
But a secret never told can turn into a lie.
And in love, a lie is one thing:
Poison.

Reid's in love with Dori, though she hasn't told her parents that she's fallen hard for the guy they'd forbidden her to see. Now she's leaving for college, and Reid's promise not to push her to go public is wearing thin, especially when she can't - or won't - return those three important words he wants to hear.

Five years ago, Brooke and Reid were a Thing. That relationship is long gone, detonated amid allegations of cheating - but they still share a secret that would stun everyone they know and alter public perception of them both if it ever comes out. And it's about to do just that.

Here Without You is the fourth, final installment in the Between the Lines series, which includes: Between the Lines, Where You Are, and Good For You.

I really enjoyed the three previous books in the BETWEEN THE LINES series, and couldn't wait to find out how Reid and Dori's story was going to end!

What I Liked: HERE WITHOUT YOU picks up right where GOOD FOR YOU left off, and I was immediately drawn back into the star-crossed love story of Reid "Hotilicious" Alexander and Dori "Do-Gooder" Cantrell.  They're doing their best to make the relationship work in spite of the constant roadblocks like, paparazzi, college, her parents, Dori's inability to tell Reid she loves him and oh, yeah, the kid he had with Brooke Dori still doesn't know about.

Despite Dori's faith in Reid, his past still haunts him, and it's hard for her parents to see beyond his prior, and very publicized mistakes. Like when he was Captain of the Douche Canoe, for example. They don't want to see Dori get hurt and I don't blame them. It's no secret that Dori has major trust issues and I loved the way Reid handled them. He was patient and really did do his best to protect her from all of the people and things in his life that could hurt her. Even while trying to get a handle on the situation with Brooke and their son, he always had Dori at the forefront of his mind.

When things get bad and it appears that Dori has lost all hope in everything, Reid fights for her heart, refusing to let her retreat into herself again.  He lays it all on the line and then some.  Reid does the same thing for a little boy who changes his life in ways he never could have imagined. *snuggles Reid Alexander pillowcase*

I'll be honest, I have never been a Brooke fan and I'm still not, but she definitely gets the opportunity to redeem herself and she doesn't waste it.

What Left Me Wanting More: The language seemed harsher than it did in the previous books. (Maybe that was just me.) I thought the sexy was fine the way it was, and I didn't really care for the part where Reid gets in touch with his inner Mr. Grey.

Final Verdict: Satisfying ending to the series.

Favorite Quote: THE ENTIRE EPILOGUE! Which made me want to do this...
