If you like fairytale re-imaginings with a dash of adventure, a pinch of romance, and a heaping does of faith, then this is the book for you.
Rapunzel is my favorite of all fairytales and I enjoyed this take on it. Unlike all of the other re-imaginings I've read, Rapunzel does not start out locked in a tower. Nor is she meak. She's brave, strong and wields a knife like nobody's business.
This was my first Melanie Dickerson book and I enjoyed her style of writing. The Golden Braid is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.
