Vee Bell’s gift (or curse) of “sliding”—slipping into the mind of another person and experiencing life, briefly, through his or her eyes—has been somewhat under control since she unwillingly witnessed the horrific deaths of her classmates six months ago.

But just as things are getting back to normal, Vee has a very bizarre experience: she loses consciousness and finds herself in a deserted area, at the edge of a cliff, with the broken body of the boy who took advantage of her on the rocks below.

As Vee finds herself in stranger and stranger situations with no memory of getting there, she begins to suspect that someone she knows has the ability to slide—and that this “slider” is using Vee to exact revenge on his or her enemies.

Thank you YABC and Harper Collins for this ARC. Slide was a surprise hit for me last year and I have been looking forward to it's sequel, Impostor ever since!   

What I loved: I love the pink cover and the style is consistent with Slide which is always a plus. There is very little gap between where Slide ends and where Impostor begins and the reader is given enough background information that this could really could be read as a stand alone. Plot twists and turns keep the pace moving and there are a few surprises thrown in to keep readers on their toes. 
  
Vee struggles with trust issues and has to work through some things but she isn't alone.  Her sister Mattie as well as a few people she doesn't see coming help her learn lessons about friendship, forgiveness and love.  And then there's Rollins... *sighs*
  
Rollins gets lots of page time and in my review of Slide I said he was pretty much Vee's knight in shining black leather and jeans and he's all that and a bag of fries in Impostor! I don't want to say any more and risk spoilers but you'll see what I mean when you read it. 

As with Slide, this ending was left in a way that allows for another book and as long as it included a particular lip-pierced, music-loving, leather jacket clad guy I'd read it. I'd read it anyway, but still. ;)

What left me wanting: Some of the background info from Slide felt a little repetitive at times.

Final Verdict: A mind-bending sequel that keeps you on your toes!
