Review + Giveaway: All Chained Up by Sophie Jordan

Series: All Chained Up (Devil's Rock #1)
Author: Sophie Jordan
Publication: March 29, 2016
By: Avon
Amazon | B&N | Goodreads

There are bad boys and then there are the men of Devilā€™s Rock . . .

Some men come with a built-in warning label. Knox Callaghan is one of them. Danger radiates from every lean, muscled inch of him, and his deep blue eyes seem to see right through to Briar Davisā€™s most secret fantasies. But thereā€™s one major problem: Briar is a nurse volunteering at the local prison, and Knox is an inmate who should be off-limits in every way.

Knox feels it tooā€”a shocking animal magnetism that drives him to risk his own life to protect Briarā€™s. Paroled at last, he tries to resist her. Sheā€™s too innocent, too sweet, and she has no idea what Knox is capable of. But a single touch can lead to a kissā€”and a taste . . . until the only crime is denying what feels so right . . .

ā€œWhen the prison doors are open, the real dragon will fly out.ā€ā€”Ho Chi Minh

*I received an eARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

Only Sophie Jordan could get me to read a prison romance.

Unique setting, great tension, engaging characters and lots of steam. Lots of it.

Knox and Briar are both strong characters and watching their story unfold was a lot of fun! The supporting cast was very interesting too, and I'm really looking forward to Reid's story.

Great start to a new series!

"Clockwork Prince" (The Infernal Devices Book 2) ~ Cassandra Clare

Let's take a moment to drool over, I mean, appreciate the pretty cover, shall we? *sighs* Once again, Cassandra Clare has managed to suck me into her colorful story of adventure, intrigue, love, romance and excruciating heartbreak.  *clutches chest*  Normally, I blast through books in a few hours, but I purposely took my time with this one because I wanted to savor every minute with Will, Jem and Tessa but HOLY CUPCAKE!!  Could you find another way to rip my heart out, do a "stomp the yard" dance on it and throw it back at me with demon pox all over it?!  *clutches chest*  How anyone with a heart can NOT be "Team Will" after this book, I'll never understand but if they aren't, then I say, in the words of giddy Will, "A demonpox on all your houses!" OK, so that's a tad harsh but still. "Clockwork Prince" picks up right where "Clockwork Angel" leaves off, with Tessa still trying to discover who she is and what Mortma...
