5 STARS!

"I love you," he says miserably. "No matter who you are, I'll always love you."

In this digital original novella set in the thrilling world of Suzanne Young’s A Need So Beautiful and A Want So Wicked, eighteen-year-old Claire Becks is forced to choose between a life of darkness and light.

Eighteen-year-old Claire Becks leads a charmed life surrounded by her loving family, great friends, and doting boyfriend, Ezra. Claire’s known for her great advice—and how easily she puts others at ease. And although she feels occasional bouts of sadness she can’t quite place, she is otherwise happy.

Then, one day, a mysterious stranger walks into her family’s bakery. Claire immediately senses something about Harlin—something tortured and dark. Even after he leaves, she can’t stop thinking about him, inexplicably feeling like there is unfinished business between them.

When Lucy, the new girl in town, starts to draw Claire into her world of darkness, Harlin realizes who Claire really is. But Claire will have to realize it too if she hopes to escape the fate of the Shadows.

Dear Suzanne Young, Harlin's Street Team thanks you for this. ;)

When I got the email that this novella was finally available, I was like...

I mean, it's HARLIN!

Harlin. Who I imagine looks a little something like this...
And this...
You're welcome.

Actually, don't thank me, thank the FANFREAKINGTASTIC Suzanne Young because without her, the world of books wouldn't have Harlin aka "Hotsauce on Wheels, or this amazing story that spans two books and a novella.

Let's be honest, Claire is an awesome character full of compassion and love, but Harlin is the reason I read this. His journey has been just as heartrending and thought provoking as Charlotte and Elise's were in the first two books and I was excited to see where his role as a Seer would take him next. As always, Suzanne Young gives us a creative, well-written story with smart, witty characters facing gut-wrenching choices a delicious romance that will not soon be forgotten.

One of the many things I love about Harlin (and sweet mini cupcakes there are so.very.many.things) is that he is a great example of what it means to love someone, really love them.  Yes, outward appearance matters but it's what's inside that is most important. I wanted--no, NEEDED his story to have closure and this is ending is perfection.
